S wingin' into the '7O's The Home Economics Department presented another fine style show. The home -ec girls modeled the cloth- ing they had made, from sport clothes to formals. Narrators were Debi Stephens and Sue Shabi, seniors. TOP: Kathy Spurr models her peasant style jumper with blouse-dress. RIGHT: Anita Spagna modeled her brown empire-waisted dress made in home-ec III. BOTTOM LEFT: Diane was lovely in her lime green formal! BOTTOM RIGHT: Diana Turley, wearing the gown she made, provided the back- ground music.

LEFT: Les Kiser ac- cepts the runner-up trophy for the Bearcats BELOW: The pep block placed second in the cheer block award. The Bearcats made it to the tourney finals for the first time in 21 years by beating Kouts, 78-77 in overtime. The Bearcats were down by 8 with only two minutes to go, but came back to tie it up with a last second shot by Dee I-Iattabaugh. In the over- time they won on jon Pea- body's last second free throw. 15 In the finals, the Heb- ron Hawks proved to be just too much for the Bearcats. They led at all stops and ended the game by beating the Bearcats, 89-63. But it was still a thrilling tourney for fans, players, coaches, and cheerleaders.

3 Spring starts off with many wonderful sounds. Many Wonderful sounds were heard at the Spring Concert pre- sented by the Music Department. The program began With the junior Band followed by the choir. The Senior Band closed with a little bit of everything from classical to contemporary music. TOP LEFT: The clarinet section of the junior Band. TOP RIGHT: Ron Hulse and Dale Huball make up the bass section of the Senior Band. MIDDLE: You say this guy, this guy's in love with you. BOTTOM: The Senior Band plays By the Time I Get to Phoenix.
