Senior Class Prophecy The day is May 25, 1961. We find the Senior class of '51 assembled in the dining room of the famous Picadilly Hotel in New York. Looking out upon Times Square we recall seeing New York for the first time, ten years before as the Seniors of '5l. Our class president, Mr. Robert Miller, now owner of the Blatz Brewery in Milwau- kee, presented to him by his former boss Mr. Stambaugh, calls the meeting to order. With him is his famous wife Judy Canova and their 3 sets of triplets, remember when his lucky number was 3? On his right is Jim Pittman, now owner of the Lazy Tourist Camp in Florida. After many years, jim is finally able to eat and sleep to his heart's desire. Seated next to jim is Heinz Strehler, proprietor of the new fish hatchery of Streh- ler's pond located east of Wheeler. Heinz relates the happenings of our beloved home town since he is the only one of our number left there. Bob motions to out former Secretary, Elaine Szikora, to stand and give the minutes of the last meeting. After reading the min- utes Pubbie tells us that she is the head campaign manager for the Democratic party at Washington. With Pubbie is her fifth husband, Errol Flynn. They seem to be quite happy. n ' On Pubbie's right we find Lee Porter, establisher of Porter's Plump Ladies Re- ducing Gym here in New York. Lee was seriously injured last month when his star trapeze artist fell from her trapeze onto his head. Lee and his wife, Imogene Coca of television fame, are residing in the penthouse on top of the Picadilly Hotel. Going around the. table we find Don Biv- ens across from Lee Porter. Don achieved his greatest ambition, he is now coaching the Kentucky University Ballet Troupe. W Profes- sor Bivens has gained a little weight since we last saw him, he now tips the scales at 250 pounds. He is the picture of grace in his pink ballet tights. Sitting next to the professor is jo Nowlin. We find that jo has not chosen to marry, but has trampled hearts all over the country and is now writing the famous Lonely Hearts column in the Los Angeles Star. We find Don Bell seated next to jo, and learn that he has made acting his profession. He is now being cast as a butler at the Drift or Drag Inn. He tells us that a quarter is the admission and you have a good opportunity te catch up on your sleep. Don's ten children of all assorted sizes are with him. Next to Don sits an empty chair, which will soon be occupied by the third girl of our class. Here she comes, late as usual. Col- leen's excuse this time is that she had miss- ed her plane from Utah where she is owner and star of the Tody Daredevil Races of the Flat Sands Wrecking Track. All being accounted for rise from the table and leave again as the class of '51, and with them go the memories of our school years. , l
