Burshtan, 43, lives in Whea- ton. The students will be treated as individuals and allowed to progress at their own rate in the academic subjects. Where possible, the students will be in small classes, Ideally, we'll be having the students teach themselves with teacher di- rection, Burshtan said. This individualized and flexible teaching method will actually put much more respon- sibility on the teachers' shoulders, Norman Jesperson, assistant principal, said. Almost two-thirds of the staff came from other schools within District 200. The teach- ers have been studying new teaching meth- ods ata special workshop. The one philosophy that we all share is individualized instruction. The teachers will pick it up from there, Burshtan said. The building is so flexible that we could have structured one-room classes, a school within a school, or open classes, he said, The school was built for a capacity of 1,200 students but can be expanded to 3,000 I0 NW Wed., Sept. 5, I973 THE TRIB T X of 'iii .Hou Q , gf xx is ,.Nwn 'K I 3 K, Q gi Q' Aaah' ., ,V I R 62 , ,wmv -..-,.-..,.-, , 'vw' -fs , . The biggest crowd at their meets was 12 people. Despite all of these hardships, the Varsity Wolverines ended up their season with a very respectable 4-9 record. The two captains were lVIike Hamilton and Mark Nllsna. The Wheaton-Warrenville Frosh-Soph. ended up their season with a 2-9 record. The team was led by Eric Wedow and Ed Williams. 86 W. W.
