AMTKMML V E , i ii . I I HONOR SOCEUY The selection of NHS members is given to a faculty council com- posed of five members chosen by the high school principal. The first requirement for all stu- dents, 10 through 12 grade, is to have at least a 3.0 grade point average and be enrolled in five credit hours the semester they are chosen. Those students meeting these requirements are then rated on a scale of 1-10 by the faculty council over the fol- lowing three areas: character, leadership and service. Those students meeting the established average are then ac- cepted as members of NHS. Once inducted, the students are members for life unless they are dismissed for a breachiin moral code or allow their grade point average to drop below 3.0 for two semesters.
