AMTKMML V E , i ii . I I HONOR SOCEUY The selection of NHS members is given to a faculty council com- posed of five members chosen by the high school principal. The first requirement for all stu- dents, 10 through 12 grade, is to have at least a 3.0 grade point average and be enrolled in five credit hours the semester they are chosen. Those students meeting these requirements are then rated on a scale of 1-10 by the faculty council over the fol- lowing three areas: character, leadership and service. Those students meeting the established average are then ac- cepted as members of NHS. Once inducted, the students are members for life unless they are dismissed for a breachiin moral code or allow their grade point average to drop below 3.0 for two semesters. Prewitt, C. Renkoski, I. Nalley, 1. Koones, 1. Erikson. The Student Council sponsored the annual Bon- fire and dance to kick off the 1987-88 basketball season. They also sponsored Drug and Alcohol Awareness. Week, AIDS Awareness Day, and elected the Student of the Month. Assemblies held included the loplin Gymnastics Team and the Willard Swing Choir.
