Typical activity at an Open House - Gossiping. Who ever said that school was all work and no play? Open Houses provided a change of pace for students at Wheaton North. Each Open House had a variety of songs and dances per- formed by different bands in the Wheaton area. Along with rock and roll and disco fever, Wheaton North captured the at- tention of many dancers provid- ing them with the opportunity to share steps and styles. Dione Honeywell attempts to teach lohn Schramer some new dance steps. Saturday Night Fever, here we come! 23

THE LITTLE FOXES Birdie, a victim of head-aches. Now, you be careful, Mr. Horace, and take your medicine. Horace would like to talk about it later. On january 26th and 27th, Wheaton North presented The Little Foxes, a drama written by Lillian Hellman. The story centered around Regina and Horace Giddens, Regina's brothers, Ben and Oscar, and her nephew, Leo. The conflict in their lives was caused by Ben's ambition to erect a cotton mill. He lacked 575,000 for the project and the brothers, with the help of Leo, plan- ned to steal 580,000 worth of Horace's bonds. Knowing that he wouldn't live much longer, Horace called for his deposit box, to discover that the bonds were gone. He tells Re- gina that the bonds were willed to her. The story continues with Regina trying to blackmail her brothers into giving her 75921 of the business or she will reveal the theft. The play was excel- lent as were the performances by the students. 25
