The Tigers won six conference hattles antl lost one, in a terrific upset to Geneva, to hnish the season as co-champs with Naperville. ln the ntin-conference games, they tietl Glenhartl anal lost to Riyersimle. This year's eleven scored W0 points in conference competition while holding their opponents to -H, heing unscoretl upon throughout hve straight conference games. XYheaton hanl one of the hnest lines in the state this year, coupled with a strong passing attack, the Brunickf to-Duncan specialty heing one ofthe most closely watched plays in the conference. Both scores were made in the first quarter: Glenlvardls on a 65 yard run that had us in despair until Durant lilocked a Glenlmard punt. Dick lnipey picked it up, and with the aid of some heautiful blocking, reached the goal line hefore he was stopped. Thar ended the scoring, although lwoth teains threatened in the following quarters. Rivmzsma 20, WHEA'roN 6 Crippled by injuries, Little Butch suffered his second loss of the season at the hands of Riverside of the NYest Sulaurhan Conference. The Tigers drew first lvlood, however, when Holi Duncan intercepted a Riverside lateral and carried it Q 35 yards to score. Wlheaton threatened again a few minutes later, hut the Ribs intercepted a wohhly pass and ran 85 yards to a touchdown. The Tigers rallied several times after this, but were unalwle to score.
