Lac! ifzi laroddmd XVith Dave Helser as president and Mrs. Safstrom as faculty advisor, the first semester student council handled many perplexing problems and, even tually, solutions were reached, Chief of these problems handled was the establishment of a much needed point system to lwroaden the base of student leadership. Not all of the second semester student councils time was spent in solving problems, as can be seen above. Nor were they interested strictly in their own fun. One of their main accomplishments was the planning of an all school Hard Times party, which, by the way, was hilariously begun by the faculty skit. Yes, the boys' dorm council often sat up late hashing over the problems which came up from night to night, and planning the many parties and other activities which helped to unite the fellows as one big happy family. 'uw If you liked fun. food, and fellowship you could find it in the girls' dorm. 48 girls and five supervisors combined to make dorm living a time of learning and a time of enjoyment-particularly after lights out! The meeting was started with devotions led by Paul Riemann. Pierre a piece of turkey. an ice cream drumstick to be exact. This is just a sample of some of the ex- periences and, also. fun enjoyed by the Eps this year.
