Breshears, Donna Breshears, Mike In our Sophomore year, we persuaded Mr. Edwards to be our sponsor and for our first class party, we went to Warsaw, had apicnic supper at Kaysinger Bluff, then saw the show, Geisha Boy starring Jerry Lewis. For our second class party, we went to Springfield to see the show, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof starring Elizabeth Taylor. We also enjoyed a party at Mr. Edwards' house. We were sorry to lose Ross Green from our class. In our Junior year, we again selected Mr. Edwards as our sponsor. We were all happy the day we received our class rings. For our first class party, we went to the Ice Capades in Springfield. For our second class party we saw the world famous Ober-ammergau Passion Play in Springfield. We presented our Junior Play, It's Great to be Crazy on April 15th and 16th, 1960. Then, on May 13, 1960, we gave the Seniors of '60 a banquet, using the theme, A Southern Plantation, We were sorry to lose Bobbie Maberry from our class but were happy to welcome Curtis Stacy as a new member. In our Senior year, Mike Breshears withdrew from our class, leavingatotal of 19 members. We again chose Mr. Edwards as our class sponsor. We were all present and enjoyed another party at Mr. Edwards' house, in January. We enjoyed all of the many activities that go with beingaSenior--Such as: the Senior play, editing Wheatland's first school yearbook, being served a banquet by the Juniors, taking our Senior trip to the Southland, Baccalaureate Services, and Graduation. These past four years will linger in our memory as the years in whicha group of Students became a unit. In this unit, the unofficial creed soon came to be-- that the injury or trouble of any one member became the concern of the whole Class The Senior Class worked together for the success of the whole class and the happiness of each individual member.
