Not only does she work as typist and office secretary, but also as general bookkeeper and treasurer of the various school clubs and organizations . The guidance department strives to counsel and aid the students so that they might be better prepared for the future . Other duties of that depart- ment include administering certain tests and helping the student fill out applications . 12

A large work load was placed on the shoulders of the superintendent and assistant in providing for a new high school to unite DeMotte and Wheat - field in the near future. Bill Pavot, Bonnie Miller, and Dennis Murray, all have roles. current events are stressed in social studies Current events gave the impetus to his- tory and government students for an understanding of their important roles in forming an American future. Learn- ing the difficulties of peoples in the past was provided through class role playing, in the form of trials, skits, and press conferences. In playing these roles, students soon found their problems of today similar to the problems of earlier peoples. FRED JONES --history, athletic director DAN KOENIG--history head, gov., econ., geometry, ARCUS advisor Government students studying current events are Helen Martin, Janice Tillema, and Novella Walker.
