Class History In 1960 we entered Wheatfield High School as freshmen with 69 members Our students came from Kiniman, Gilliam, DeMotte Christian, and graduating members of Wheatfields eighth grade. This was a great change for many of us. With Mr. Helms as our sponsor, we elected the following officers: President, Dennis Risner; Vice President, Carol Oliver; Secretary, Beverly Hale; and Treasurer, Doug Gourley; Senators, Kenneth DeYoung, and Roger Shepherd. In our Sophomore year we were guided by Mr. Collins and Mr. Helms. Our officers for this year were; President, Dan Tillema; Vice President, Boyd Jones; Secretary, Robert Rodriquez, and Treasurer, Beverly Hale. The thrill this year was ordering and receiving our class sweaters. They were charcoal with white trim and red letters. We also chose our rings Star Liner . I, 6 We were very excited to get back to school, our Junior year, be- cause we were to receive our class rings the first week. We were very pleased with them. We started our Junior year with the following officers; President, Bill Misch; Vice President, Glen Jones; Treasurer Diana Myers, and Secretary, Barb Peterson. This year was a very ex- citing one for we gave our play entitled, No More Homework , under the direction of Mr. Walden. This also was our year to give the Prom. It was held in the old gym with the setting UNDER THE MAGNOLIAS . We enrolled 54 students in our Senior year; a record for Wheatfield High School. Our officers were President, Barb Peterson; Vice President Ken DeYoung; Secretary, Betty Meeks; Treasurer Diana Myers. Our caps and gowns were red and white. Our class motto is FOLLOWERS TODAY, LEADERS TOMORROW. We all enjoyed the prom the Juniors gave us. The theme was EVENING IN PARIS . Our class flower was white rose, and our colors were light blue and white. Our sponsors were Mr. Miller and Mrs. Kosta. Our Senior Play was CALLING ALL GIRLS , under the direction of Mr. Walden. I ' m sure none of us will ever forget our School days here at WHEA TFIELD HIGH SCHOOL.
