Some lucky seniors get driving permits and skip the bus ride. For the last time, get out of bed! ” warns mothers as a Wheatfield student slowly gets out of bed wishing it were a Saturday instead of a school, day. While this student is just arising, others are finishing farm chores, making beds, or preparing breakfast before heading for school. Cars, buses, bicycles, and scooters deliver students to the doors of WHS. Some unfortunate ones still have to use that old-fashioned method of transportation- -walking. At school, noisy groups gather in the study hall to talk over the latest gossip, and couples get reacquainted after being separated sixteen long hours. Ho Hum! Senior Alice Stalbaum awakens.
