SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In 1955, we entered Wheatfield High School with 64 students. With Miss Hammerstein as our sponsor we elected the following officers; Darrell Allen, president; Richard Boezeman, vice pre- sident; Ray Wireman, treasurer; Dianne Bricker, secretary; sena- tors were Louise Grube and Eddie Allyn. Entering into our Sophomore year our class had decreased to 53. Under the direction of Mr. Jones, we chose the following offi- cers; Richard Boezeman, president; Eldon Jeffries, vice president; Roger Wahl, secretary;Darrell Allen, treasurer;and Dianne Bricker and Curt Martin, senators. During the first part of the school year we ordered our class sweaters, which were turquoise with white trim. Our Junior year was very exciting. WithMr. Taylo as our spon- sor we elected the following officers; Alice Finney, president; Di- anne Bricker, vice president; Thelma Ratliff and Roger Wahl as senators. Under the direction of Miss Figert, we gave our class play named Men are Like Streetcars.” We chose our class rings with the Premier design. The biggest expenditure was the Junior- Senior prom, with Hawaiian Cruise as our theme. We entered the most exciting part of our school years with 43 Seniors. Under the direction of Miss Brown, we elected the follow- ing officers; Eddie Allyn, president; Curt Martin, vice president; Leona Lauraitis, secretary; Alice Finney, treasurer; and Richard Boezeman and Eldon Jeffries, senators. We gave our Senior play entitled, Happy Daze with Miss Stine as our director. With our school days coming to an end, we will all remember the pleasant memories we have had here at Wheatfield High School. 18
