Pat Schultz and Mildred Massoth are on a personal appearance tour to give lec- tures on home economics, and they are booked solid for another year. David Cavinder, Bill Florence and Jerry Stanton arrived together. Jerry is a big- game hunter now, and has just returned from Africa. He is staying with David, who has a large grapefruit farm in Florida. Bill is David ' s personal farm manager and handles all contracts and other business. Of course David Krieve and Dan Cowger arrived together. Dan is serving his eighth year in the Navy, and he is now Chief Petty Officer. David turned to coach- ing after he graduated, and he now has taken over as coach from Mr. Jones at Wheatfield. It seems that Robert Kerkes and Robert Sculley are working together on some big program in Jasper County. Kerkes is the County Agricultural Agent, and Sculley is running an experimental animal husbandry farm for Purdue University. Oddly, only one in our class turned to the entertainment field — Tevis Calloway. You probably knew that she took over for Aunt Fanney on the Don McNeil show. Well, chat about covers everyone. I may try to drive down to visit with you next week, because T want you to see my new car. It ' s a customized Cadillac from Kossakowski ' s Kool Kustom Kars, here in Detroit. Tony did all the body work, and Irene Mueller, who is an interior decorator, designed the upholstery and seat covers. Drop me a line if you have time. Production Vice-President General Mo tors Corp. July 5, 1967 Dear Tracy, I ' m terribly sorry that you couldn ' t come to our class reunion last week, but I hope that everything came out all right when you opened the new bridge which you built. I still can ' t figure how you prevent a five mile suspension bridge from col- lapsing . I thought that you might like to know what your classmates are doing, so here is a quick run-down. Some of our boys are working right here in Detroit. Gene Hol- brook is a test driver for Ford, and when he isn ' t busy he tours the AAA race tracks with Frank Shields. Frank is current AAA champion and Henry Henricks is his mech- anic. They surely must make a good team. You ' ve probably read about Pat Bachman. I never thought that such a quiet girl would enter politics, but she seems to be a very good Secretary of the Treasury. She is living in Washington D. C. , with Leona Jones, who is a first grade teacher. Only two in our class went to work at Gehring, Inc. Janice DeMoss is private secretary for Wm. Gehring, Jr. , and Jim Davis is the foreman at the New Gehring To- mato Cannery. Wilma Hetrick was just in town yesterday; she missed the reunion also. She had just returned from India where she and her husband are striving to build a church in the wilderness. She told me that she had seen David Hayes when passing through Africa. David is a missionary also. However, he is more interested in educating natives to Christian ideas as he travels, rather than settling in one place. Remember our class artists, Grube and Blaszczyk? They are still drawing, but now they are the publishers of Horror Comics Inc. Rex Myers is in the literary field too, since his book, How To Live With Your Height and Love It , became a best seller. There are several of our classmates working in Chicago. Carole Bladick and Sonja Stanton run a baton twirling school on the North Side. Carol Qavinder and Gail Smith are running the C G Beauty Salon on Broadway and they live with Jewel Smith in her penthouse. Jewel is a swimming instructor at the Y. W. C. A. since she retired from Olympic competition. Naturally, several of our classmates are married. Jolene Benoit married James Feleki and lives in Rensselaer. Carolyn Dahm married Howard Belstra and lives on a large farm near DeMotte, and of course Bob Braun and Audrey Krypel were married. They run a big chicken farm near Va ' Daraiso.
