Among their laurels was the second- best qualifying score for the State Tournament at Greeley. Farmer golfers won the District Tournament with an astounding 304 total. Bob Livonius paced the District and State qualifiers with an even par 70. Upon arriving in Greeley, the team found itself rated as one of the Tournament favorites, but the cup grew smaller as the tension grew worse, and the Farmers did not show. Putts didn't drop for anyone, but med- alist Bob Livonius shot a T58 total forthe 36 holes to top off a year of great performances. Members of the team who represented WRHS at the State Tour- nament were Captain Dave Davis, medalist Bob Livonius, outstanding sophomore Dick Smith and Ju- nior Mark Lutz. Highlights of the T966 Golf season include the match in which Bob Livonius shot the lowest score ever at WRHS and the seventh straight County Championship in a row for the Farmers. by Dave Davis

Farmers' Day followed with everyone donning their farmer clothes. Wheat Ridge defeated Boulder High by a score of 68 to 60 and moved into the semi-finals against Manual-the number one ranked team in the state.
