To lead us in this new adventure, we elected Bob Mason, John Tanner, and Al Drumright for our first semester leaders. The second semester we chose Al Drumright, John Tanner and Alyce Witt to guide us on. This first year saw us team- ing with the Sophomores to give a fine talent show and All School Party. On Blue and Gold Day, we turned out a pretty good athletic record that encouraged us and gave us inspiration for next year's competition. Muriel Bird and John Tan- ner were our attendants at the Blue and Gold Ball. Our Freshman year gave us a good start and our Sophomore year saw us improving more and more. i Our first se- mester class officers were Al Drumright, Muriel Bird and John Tanner. Under this capable trio, our class presented the highly successful assembly entitled, Calendar Revue of 1950. Again the Sophomores teamed up with the Freshmen , and after a lot of hard work, one of the best All School Parties was held. The second semester saw Kathleen Rufien, Tom Laws, and Rodney Lee taking over. with these three guiding us, we gave the Seniors a scare, and astonished everyone by taking second place in Blue and Gold Day.Our King and Queen Attendants were Muriel Bird and Bob Sprinkle. After three months vacation, we came back to school as Juniors, full of enthusiasm.John Tanner, Tom Laws and Al Drumright were selected as our class officers the first semester. When the Juniors and Seniors put their heads to - gether, they came up with one of the most unusual and enjoyable All School Parties yetg they used a jungle theme. Our play, The Little Dog Laughed, was not about a dog at all, but about a college girl who thought she knew all about psychology, and she practiced on everyone. Few of the many that saw it will ever forget the famous, or should I say infamous, Ink Blot Test. Bill Keller, Shirley Downen, and Vivian Knapp became our class officers for the second semester. We again let our colors fly high on Blue and Gold Day by coming in second again. Our attendants for the King and Queen were Jo- anne Swanson and Roger Holmdahl. To top our year off, we gave the Seniors a lovely Junior-Senior Prom at the Albany Hotel on May 17, 1952. Getting off to a fine start in our Senior year, we elected Ronnie Baumert, President, Don Gipe, Vice- President, and Bob Stafford, Secretary of the class for the first semester. Vivian Knapp and Muriel Bird were elected by the school to be our first and second term Student Body Presidents, and Rodney Lee was given the job of Secretary. With the help of the Juniors, we gave a very fine All School Party, using the Orient as our theme. Farmer's Frolic time came around, and the Seniors were seen bustling about, fixing their concession stands and S0liCiIiflg. Our goal WHS SCI al S1500.with part of the money we raised, we bought a new basketball scoreboard. The second semester, we chose Kathleen Rufien as our President, Bob Stafford as our Vice-President, and Jack Krebs as our Secretary. , The Student Body put their confidence in Don Gipe and Kay Trevithick for their third and fourth term presidents . The SeniorPlay was entitled, Trail of the Lonesome Pine. It was a comic-melodrama about the backwoods of Tennessee. In true Tennessee mountain tradition there is a family fued. PAUL RANDALL BILL MITCHELL ANITA VAN NATTER Pl'6Sid6I1I Vice President Secretary lST SEMESTER OFFICERS The Class of '54 In 1950, a Freshman Class, determined to make a name for itself, came to Wheat Ridge. As Freshmen, even in our first term, we were wise in our choice of our officers--Jean Arnold, Jim Petrie and Missy Bachman were the lead- ers, to be followed by Beverly Pettit, Fred Hood and Larry Nicholl as the second term officers. With these officers in charge, the Freshmen presented an assembly under the disguise of Dt. I.Q. We then joined together with the Soph- omores to present a Talent Show and All School Party. At Blue and Gold Day, we finally proved the athletic ability of our class, by giving the other classes a hard workout. The class honored Jean Arnold and Fred Hood as attendants to the King and Queen. Even at the beginning of our Sophomore year, we knew the year was to be a success with officers such as Bill Mi- tchell, Fred Hood and Kent Sivers as the first term leaders, and with Ronnie Ericson, Fred Hood and Arlin Hubka for the second term. They proved their abilities by helping the class present a successful class assembly, and again to participate in a Talent Show. With a great deal of enthusiasm, the members of our class displayed potential abilities and ideas in Blue and Gold Day activities. We put Jean Arnold and Ronnie Ericson into the position of King and Queen attendants. Our Junior year was started appropriately by selecting such capable leaders as Paul Randall, Bill Mitchell and A- nita Van Natter. During their term, they proved their ability by again putting on a good All School Party with the Seniors. We presented a most successful Junior Play, entitled The Divine F1ora. It was the story about a poor wall- flower who was to be rejuvinated into the 'Belle of the Ball. We then teamed together to present an enjoyable as- sembly called, A Modern Mother Goose. The second semester has again started off well, for Kent Sivers, Arlayne Hurt and Missy Bachman were elected to carry us through the rest of this great year. With thrilling plans for a beauti- ful Junior-Senior Prom, and with high hopes of success on Blue and Gold Day, how could we miss? 2ND SEMESTER OFFICERS Ng 4 Q -Q, 5 KENT SIVERS ARLAYNE HURT MISSY BACHMAN President Vice President Secretary Ken Adams Sue Allred John Anderson Jean Arnold Larry Atkins Lloyd Bailey Bev Balentine Jim Ball Leah Bainum Esther Becker Donna Beery Jerry Beuhler Beth Brand Carol Brown Joyce Brown David Brown Jim Brownell Bruce Budy Chuck Burdick Wally Burry Dale Calvert Lowell Carter Sally Camfield Jackie Carlson Gloria Coffey Ron Coffey Marcia Cochran Gene Collins Jackie Cooper Ray Conklin Carita Conover Nancy Conway Shirley Croy Barbara Dana Lyle Diedrichs Joan Doran Frank English Harry Erickson Ronnie Ericson Lynne Ferris Roger Fleshman Carol George Judy Gysland Alan Hoff Fred Hood Arlin Hubka Barbara Higdon Joanne Holmdahl Dick Jennings Andy Johns Joyce Johnson Bill Jones Bob Kalthoff Pat Kennedy Jerry Kennedy Betty Kiesling Jack.Kealiher Frank Knickerbocker Don Kugler Janet Lepin Mickey Leahy Bob Lenhart Larry Lund Carol Luther Jim Mcwhorter Dolores Maier Joan Mapston Barbara Morley Kay Moseley Greg Myer Fred Miercourt Jan McNee1 Don Miller Larry Miller Clark Moder Dale Moody Guy Moore Sally Mohr Audrey Neddo Evelyn Newegg Marty Neimes Gene Nelson Larry Nicholl Diane Norman Robert Oliver Stuart Orsborn Lora Ann Owen Sue Peters Beverly Pettit Virginia Piper Nancy Pollman Mary Poore Jim Petrie Warren Pickell Gary Purse Ray Rickard George Risley Dennis Rockey Jerry Roglitz Jean Rononger Carol Roath Bob Salankey Jack Selby Don Shackleford Bob Shepard Merritt Smith Roger Sollenbarger Thomas Springer Bob Stevens Myrna Soucie Marybelle Snyder Linda Terry Max Tindell Gerald Vadeen Joan Van Gent Channing wagner David waible Diana white Richard white Ronald white Paul Winter Beverly Works Leroy Yehle Bob Ziegler Glen Zoellner Steve Zorichak .
