Barbara Backblund Robert Bassett lass nf 'ififtu 011: JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY On an eventful, early September day in 1947 a new class of Freshmen entered Wheat Ridge High's crowded halls. While in the proc- ess of learning their way around they elected Janet Pearce President, and Howard Sauer and Paula Zimmerman to serve under her. They gave a highly entertaining assembly The Liv- ing Newspaper and joined with the Sopho- mores in presenting an All School Party. They began their Sophomore year by elec- ting Howard Sauer, Michey 0'Connell and Dave Turner to class offices and presented their en- joyable assembly The History of Dance. They presented another All School Party this time in co-operation with the Freshmen. At the end of the first term, they elected Charlie Rufien, Pat Dennis, and Mickey O'Connell to lead their efforts. The year was high-lighted with their Richard Bates Pat Dennis Frgnk victory of Blue and Cold Day. The first ever won by a Sophomore Class. They returned to school their Junior Year to elect Pat Dennis-President, Dave Turner- Vice-president, and Howard Sauer-Secretary. At the beginning of the second semester they elected Big Dave Turner as Presid nt, Pat Dennis as Vice-President, and Frank lxfarcisian as Secretary. They presented S'Hollywood, USA as their assembly and displayed much talent in their efforts. As their Junior Class Play they selected Never Say Dye, a hilarious story of life in a Beauty Shop. They presented an All-School Party with the Seniors. As the year drew to a close they had made plans for a Junior-Senior Prom to be held at Welsltire Country Club and prepared to make their Senior year the most eventful of their short career. arcisian Howard Sauer David Turner
