FUREUIORD Men are still at war in the world today. Guns and shells ill'0ll,l being used in this war. Minds filled with selfishness and prejudice are being used as annnunition. This war can be ended only by producing minds, cleansed of ill-will, suspicion, and bigotry, and alive with ideas of equality, liberty, and peace. These minds must be our minds. lVe should strive in our high school years to develop attitudes which will be capable of establishing and holding the coveted peace. Our school government is a basis by which we can learn to solve the complex problems which arise in the administration of a demo- cratic government. Our athletic program points out the road to an understanding and cooperation which must exist before a lasting peace can be constructed. In fact, participation i11 all school activities is a stepping-stone in our efforts to make this a better world. XVe have tried to capture between the covers of this annual evi- dences of our ability to work together, play together, win or lose to- gether, and an accurate account of steps We have climbed toward this goal. NVe trust that a few years from IIOW, all will look at this annual and recall the gains we made during the year of 1946-47 toward the peace which we strove to establish for all mankind.
