Our principal, Mr. Wells, always working for the school, its student body and its ideals, is a man with a spirit of friendliness that awakens a like feeling among the faculty and the student body over whom he presides. A versatile person is Mr. Emery, for his work as vice-principal embraces sup- ervision of the book room, boys' attend- ance, and the teaching of English. He is also a comrade and adviser to the boys Hi-Y and Key Clubs. Along with all the duties of an office secretary, Mrs. Snow has willingly taken upon herself the task of being friend and confidant to every Whatcoinite.

The Board of Education who plan for and watch over the welfare of our city schools: President Iddins, Secretary Pratt, Superintendent Wiedman, Cozier, McGlinn, Roberts, Van Buskirk. For more than eleven years Mr. D. E. Wiedman has served the schools of Bell- ingham efficiently and Well as superin- tendent. May this picture recall to you the real Whatcom-not a mere structure of bricks and mortar but a veritable house- hold of youthful life, in whose halls you have studied, laughed, worried, and en- joyed the company of school day chums. A storehouse of information when themes or reports are due-a pleasant place to pass leisure moments-the library. A real friend to the girls who work with her and an efficient manager of the library and of the girls' attendance roll, Miss Schumacher.
