Can this city dude actually be a member of the scrapping Churchill clan, famous throughout Arizona? But Danny quickly proves he has ideas of his own. He turns the place into a swank Dude Ranch and soon the place is lively enough with eastern girls and singing cow- ooys. But it's the western girl. A BOY NAMED BEULAH The play opens in the living room of the old Hiram Mansfield farm house near Rocky Springs. a small summer-resort town in the Ozarks. Polly McBride, and her two brothers Hank and Ted inherit their Uncle Hiram's farmhouse. Since they don't have very many resources for building up the place, they turn it into a Health Farm. The money to make this a success is to come from Corky's Aunt Beulah. who thinks Corky is a girl. Grant also offers to get a loan from his Uncle Chilford. Nora comes up with the story of a missing diamond that Hiram Mansfield had owned. The first guest for the farm is Hank's and Ted's girl friends mother, Aimee. Through the wrestling bouts of another Beulah, the wierd tapping of a cane, the arrival of Corky's Aunt Beulah. and the mysterious goings on. every one manages to survive. The diamond is found in a bar of soap. Nonell and Ava escape from the clutches of their mother, Corky and Polly become reunited, Beulah finds her boy friend Scat, Aunt Beulah discovers Corky is a girl, and the Leopard man Tongo disappears.
