WARRIORS OF 52 CLASS PROPHECY Fxnally the day has arrlvedl The are gather1ng at the dock for a b1g ocean voyage to whlch we have been lookmg forward for ten years ever slnce our graduat1on Junlors we all a good Wlth the call Anchors Awelgh rushed aboard the W C Banquetanma boat even after 10 years of servlce The captaxn came to glV6 us h1s welcome and were we sur prlsed when we saw the famlllar face of the one and only Cla1r Kmkade' Cla1r after servmg 1n the Navy bought hlmself a cru1ser and IS st1ll runnmg from all the fortune hunt1ng women The startlng po1nt of our tr1p was Santa Barbara Cal1forn1a Th1s town was made weal thy and very famous by the contr1but1ons of Lee s flnes for speedlng pa1d by one of our own schoolmates It was Sald that th1s great c1ty was named after th1s g1rl Barbara Garrett Everyone was very pleased when not1f1ed we would stop f1rst at the Hawauan Islands ACCOFd1Dg to the Hawanan custom when our boat was IH Slght they swam out to meet us We enjoyed see1ng them dlV6 for money and we not1ced two faces among the group that looked very fam1l1ar they were Juan1ta and .hm Shafar Whlle honeymoonlng there J1m and Juamta en Joyed themselves so much that they could not leave J1m Stl1I keeps 1n tra1n1ng to uphold h1s all tlme track recordd by runn1ng around h1s IS land several tlmes a day Of course Juan1ta IS runmng too but not for a record After feast1ng a few days w1th Jlm and Juan 1ta s nat1ve frlends we adam heard the cry Anchors Awelgh and sa1led on Th1s tlme we headed for Wake Island where the Un1ted States there IS a lonely Navy Nurse out here who was 1nsp1red to go lnto her professlon from a readmff she gave 1n a speech contest Yes slr Anne Drae gert s speech ablllty has helped her out of a lot of t1ght squeezes Anne 1nformed us that we can VISII another classmate who IS only a few hundred m1les away so we cllmbed aboard and headed for the northern part of Alaska We took one of the famous short cuts map ped out by an expert 1n the study of a1r and water transportat1on James Blaylock s geometry had become very useful 1n dev1s1nU spec1al short routes by use of complex theorems When we arr1ved IH Alaska f1nd1ng Marlen Kltzman was a c1nch She holds a very d1st1n gu1shed pos1t1on 1n a swanky n1ght club wh1ch caters to all sold1ers 1n Alaska Her a 1l1ty to make powerful shots w1th Loth hands a1dS her IH belng the best bouncer 1n that sectlon of the countrv On the next leg of our voyage we contlnu d across the P3Clf c Ocean About half way across we stopped stunned by a s1ght' Cn one of the famous float nd 1slanc s t1erc vu re anchored txo large sh1ps streaml1ned to the h1lt As w neared the lsland the shlps raced to m et us and after seexnff who the Captalns were we understood why they were rac1nU They spent most of then' school days trymff to outrun each other on the streets of What Cheer Who were they ohn Hemsley and Cec1l M1ddleton of co rse Next stop Shanghal Ch1na' We had heard there was a speclal place we must see because the 1nter1or decoratmg was someth1ng to behold After v1ew1ng the rooms of th1s palace we ap proached the last one and lo and behold the beauty of th1s room seemed to hold us spell bound The walls were covered wlth masslve fuchs1a and chartreuse peacocks on a black back ground S1tt1ng at a large 1mpress1ve desk was the famous decorator Karen Swanson who spe g1al1zed 1n decoratmg bachelors dens and stu 1os Travelxng on down the coast to Hong Konv we not1ced a large speedway Wonder who holds the t1tle on th s race track'7 CWell at least the t1tle holder d1dnt have to clean the streets after th1s race? If you st1ll havent guessed 1t was MHTVIH Ladely Whlle ln th1s terrltory some of us dec1ded to V1Slt Austral1a and durlng the welcom1ng d1nner glven by the nat ves there was a speclal dance for entertaxnment Ruth Nanke certa1nly d1d the dance well whv shouldnt she after all that tralnlng at Rose H111 Roberta H0tChk1SSS yen for travel was a ma1n factor 1n caus1ng us to meet her when we docked at Adm Arabla She was on her honey moon after ten vears of courtshlp They were travelmg around the world on a raft We then at a r1sk of our l1ves d6C1d8d to 1nvest1gate the unexplored part of South Afrlca Here we were met by some very unfriendly na tlVeS When taken to the leader we were sur prlsed to f1nd B111 Fabrxtz He IS a leader of a band made up of nat1ve men and women ma1n ly women' Th1s band IS noted for a new type ot rhumba Jazz We went from there to Parls France A we were eat1ng 1n a park one day we heard a b1g commotlon Yep Barbara Kudart was on an other rampage and th1S was a good one As a woman pol1t c1an she had swept the country Wllh her speeches on the toplc How to R1de an Ele phant Next stop was Braz1l w1th 1tS warm Cllmat There we found Jo Ann Hall runmnd an all nxght cafe 1nsp1red by her successful ach1evements 1n the d1shes she prepared durlng CO0kll'l'T class Th1s cafe caters to lonely sallors H1tt ng Cuba we had to stop for repa1rs so we went 1nland to see what was cook1n r we found Althea Koch Lucas and Denny Al thea was helpmg her husband capture crocodlle for thelr canned soup 1ndustry Later we attended a stage show starrmff Car mon M1randa We learned that her secretary was MarU1e Sanders who was especlallv ftted for the Job w1th her cultured southern accent Fmally back to the U S we v1s1ted a farm ln New Jersev owned and operated by Vlr and Mrs Lyle Molvneux They were known all over the state for the QUIZ programs they sponsored 1n a large barn on th s farm wxth Lyle actlng as master of ceremonles At last we returned to our homes weary but happy In closlng may we say to you These prophec es may not come true But let us part as good frlends do Luck to the Senlors of 52 9 '. . . . . , ' ' . . .
