1984. . . Loss of Privacy . . . Nuclear War Fears. . . Big Brother. . . DNA Research . . . Lebanon Crisis . . . Presidential Election . . . Olympics . . . Each day we are faced with a crisis - a problem which seems to need an immediate solution Technology has transformed our lives into terms of micro - seconds. Nuances, statements, innuendos which once could be ignored are now scrutinized and minutely examined. We actually seem to have lost time. We dedicate this yearbook to some of our simpler times - moments from our school lives we want to cherish and remember. With this book we want to suspend time, even if only briefly, to savor the present, dream of the past, and imagine the future. Serving at Central and East Junior High Schools as well as South High School, he helped and inspired many students with his-guiet but helpful manner Few knew the other Mr. Schensnol - the father of three children living in Wrentham but commuting daily to Weymouth However, all should remember him as a man who helped mold our future lives and values. Dr. Randall Powers is a distinguished educator who served as Pnncipal of South High School for two years (1980- 1982) guiding it through the difficult transition year which witnessed both a new sophomore and a new freshman class. Juniors and Seniors remember this reserved yet amiable administrator who was frequently seen in the comdors bantering with both students and teachers. A dedicated professional, Dr. Powers always seemed available to those in need and frequently gave his personal time to help students in need. Even though he has left to return to teaching, Dr. Powers deserves our best wishes. 6 WEYMOUTH 8 10 SLOW FORWARD 11 .: OUR SENIORS . . .
