FOREIG EXCHA GE TUDE Jurgen Richard Wolfgang Lenz was the foreign exchange student sent to Wethersfield High School from Karlsruhe, Germany by the American Field Service for the 1958-59 school year. Jurgen was 17 years old, and the second youngest of his two brothers and sister. He arrived in Kewanee on June 25, and will leave America at the end of this July. It didn't take Jurgen long to adjust to the American way of life. He was active in several extra -curricular activities, including Pep Club, Band, F. T,A, , vice-president of his class, and Student Council. He made a big hit with the WHS girls because he was such a smooth dancer. This is the second year our school has sponsored a foreign exchange student. Last year Jaime Nieto of Madrid, Spain was with us. We've enjoyed having both these boys, and hope they've enjoyed their stay in the United States.
