ARCHI G BA The Wethersfield High School Marching Band is a forty-eight piece playing unit featuring a seven- man color guard up front. The drum majorette was Ann Paskf'59J and drill instructor for the color guard was Mr. Fred Andrew. The marching band performed at all home foot- ball games and participated in the annual homecom- ing parade. lt also participated in the massed band festival at Galesburg in the spring ofthe year, and also in the Western State University homecoming at Macomb in the fall ofthe year. GIRLS CHOIR ,, The Girls Choir rehearses three days a week, and one- half credit is given to each member for one year's work. The activities of the choir include: a concert for F, T.A. a program for the Woman's Club, participation in the Annual Blackhawk Conference Vocal Festival, and a concert in the spring, usually combined with the high school band. TT Each year the choir enters the Illinois High School Asso- ciation Music Contests. The Girls Choir has the distinction 'rs of bringing to Wethersfield its first State Championship Trophy. The general musicianship, and poise of this group makes it a truly outstanding organization. Mrs. Franklin Coplan is the accompanist, and Mr. Charles Bickhaus is the director. Officers are : Barbara Eshelman, Presi- dent, Marcia Jackson, Vice-President, Judy Bystry, Secretary- Treasurerg and Karen Hildebrand, Student Council Representative. FIRST ROW: J. Snider, S.
