They have the duty of keeping our halls clear of people who should not be there and welcoming visitors to the school. TeacbeR’s Aides Angie Johnson, Terri Davis, Susan Rozier, Janet Phelps, Lisa Sangster, Susan Palmer Teacher Assistants are assigned to Elementary teachers. They help the teacher monitor play ground activities and read stories. They also give individual help to students that requre it. 21

The purpose of the Junior Science Club is to provide an opportunity for the students to further their science education through extra class activities, such as guest speakers and field trips. Stcident Gooennment Student Government is the organization through which the students may help make laws for the school. Its purpose is to help student-administration communication, and to help with student problems. It is the voice of the students in the school. LibRciRc Assistants Library assistants work one period each day. Their duties include filing catalog cards, stamping new books, pastirfg in book pockets shelving books, keeping magazines in order, and finally, checking books in and out. Miriam Price, Kathy Davis, Dixie Campbell, Frank Lamb, David Gurley, Susan Shiver, Martha Palmer, Lisa Rigsby. Qtrill ScroJI Quill and Scroll is an international Honorary Society for high school journalists. The purpose of the organization is to encourage and reward individual student achievement in journalism and school publications. To be eligible for an award, a student must have done superior work in some phase of school publications work, such as writing editing, business management, or production, and be recommended by his advisor. 22
