o H CD u J I Under the direction of Mr. Wil- liam Davis, the Social Studies Department guided us from the Stone Age to Watergate. Courses ranged from European History to Chinese Civilization to Econom- ics. Especially bright will be our memories of U.S. History, taught by Mr. Thomas Brown and Miss Priscilla Congdon during junior year. Senior year was highlight- ed with the offering of a new Gov- ernment and Politics class, as well as having the opportunity to take traditional favorites such as Psychology and Sociology. Mr. Anthony Greene Computers The Westwood High Mathematics Department, headed by Mr. James Pender, challenged students in all realms and levels of study, from Algebra One through Advanced Place- ment Calculus. Faculty and advanced students were always around for review, help, and independant study in the Math Seminar Room. Of course, Mr. Greene ' s computer room al- ways kept its doors open. The Science Department, di- rected by Dr. John Griffin, pro- vided students with a diverse choice of courses to select from, which included Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics-all offered at dif- ferent levels to suit the indi- vidual. Students were also en- couraged annually to participate in the Science Fair. Best wishes to all the teachers in this excellent and dedicat- ed department, especially to Mrs. JoAnn Staiti, Mr. Peter Geary, and Mr. Wayne Relleva, who were new additions to the scientific team this year.
