Dr. John Griffin, Coordinator Mr. Christos Sarris Headed by Dr. John Griffin, the Science Department offers many enlightening courses, including physical sience, cellular and molecular biology, chemistry, and physics. These courses range in levels of difficulty so as to meet the needs of the entire student body. AP biology, physics, and chemistry are also offered to those students in search of the ultimate challenge. We will never forget molec. and Mr. Sarris constant reminders that, The clock is laughing at you, you bananas! , or Topalian s Toy Closet brimming with examples of the laws of physics. In the year . The History Department at Westwood High is particularly strong thanks to the dedicated fac - ulty which offers a wide variety of courses, their extra time and energy, and their friendship as well. Under the direction of its chairperson Mr. William Davis, the department successfully guided us through three or four tough years of social studies. Especially noteworthy were Mr. Stack ' s Ancient and Medieval History class, Mr. Beurman s Economics and Sociology classes, and the infamous junior year U.S. History courses with Miss Congdon or Mr. Brown. The Class of 1987 extends warm thanks and best wishes to the entire WHS History Department.
