SCIENTIFIC METHODS. The Science Department, under the direction of Dr. John Griffin, continues to offer a wide variety of courses ranging from introduction to Physical Sci- ence to A. P. Biology. There is a large selection of courses in the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics, which vary in difficulty to suit each stu- dents needs. Throughout the years, students have collected fond memories of Mr. Sarris ' s You bananas! , flying pigs in the cafeteria, The Topalian Toy Shop, and the famous Marx Slide Shows. We had a whale of a time with Miss Saltmarsh and Mrs. Flyer and we journeyed into Mr. Thwing ' s underwater world. With new accelerated courses like A. P. Pascal, students were able to apply their knowledge of BASIC to a more advanced computer language. Added to the gradu- ation requirements this year, computer science has been taken by all — words like GOTO and WRITELN have be- come popular at the high school, as crowds gather at the computer room doors, waiting to finish their complicat- ed lab assignments.
