Art and Music Mrs. Judith DesPres The Art Department, this year under the instruc- tion of Mrs. Judith DesPres has tried to offer a wide range of techniques. This department lets the student create on his own while still learning correct composi- tion and art discipline. This year ' s student art work was on display in the library with techniques ranging from pottery to still life. THE MUSIC MAN WE ' RE THE GREATEST BAND IN .... !! The man who inspires us to greater heights in music is none other than Mr. Mark — as he is af- fectionately called. Without his guidance and en- couragement, the marching band, concert band, or- chestra, chorus, double quartet, and folk club would not be as appealing. After hours of practice for the exchange concerts, the sounds which come forth are vibes to be proud of. The high degree of participation in musical pro- grams is indicative of Westwood ' s success in pro- viding programs attractive to a large majority of the student population.
