The courses provide the student with practical knowledge, and the ability to cope with family situations. The Industrial Arts Department provides both voca- tional and college preparatory students with valuable training in such practical subjects as woodworking, metal working, electronics, mechanical drawing, and descriptive geometry. 21

BUSINESS Business Training Affords Excellence In The Field Of Secretarial and Clerical Training The Business Department, with the aid of modern equipment, trains students for good positions in the business world. College- bound students also find this department valuable in that it provides them with basic skills such as typing and notehand. PHYSICAL EDUCATION Mr. Paul Tucelli Miss Christine Fazzi The Physical Education department provides the student with an opportunity to improve his physical fitness and to become proficient at several individual and team sports. Ability and attitude are stressed equally. Mr. George Bader Director of Athletics MUSIC The Music Department is an exceptionally out- standing one. The Orchestra, Marching and Con- cert Bands, Dance Band, Glee Clubs, Double Quar- tet and Folk Music Club are all under the direction of this department. Mr. John Markarian Director of Music ART Mr. Frederick Wellsman Director of Art The Art Department stresses both artistic discipline and creativity. Many students find art courses relaxing and pleasur- able, while some exceptionally gifted students find the courses valuable as a basis for future careers. 22
