Mr. Rettman Busy bees Mr. Chicetti Supervisor of Industrial Arts INDUSTRIAL ARTS The Industrial Arts Department allows the students to construct their own ideas with their hands. They learn to develop skill in planning and building their projects with the use of the many complicated machines. Many fine pieces of work were displayed at the Arts and Crafts Festival. Miss Knight, Director of Home Economics; Mrs. Burke. HOME ECONOMICS The girls who have taken Home Eco- nomics have gained much valuable informa- tion which they will carry with them as they further their education. The students have learned the fundamentals of cooking, sewing, and of caring for a family. Mr. Lyman, Director of Driver Education

ART COURSES ENCOURAGE BUDDING TALENTS Dishpan hands Mr. Wellsman The Art Department, under the direction of Mr. Wellsman, has aided the students in developing their artistic abilities. This year ' s art show was another outstanding success in which the pupils were able to present the work they accomplished during the vear. Mr. Monag-han Mr. Markarian Let ' s get set MUSICAL ABILITIES ARE DEVELOPED The Music Department has always been of special interest to everyone. The concerts put on by the chorus, orchestra, and band have brought much enjoyment to the stu- dents as well as the townspeople. Mr. Mark- arian and Mr. Monaghan deserve much credit for all the work they have done to make our music outstanding. PROMOTING GOOD READING HABITS Mrs. Bradley Mrs. Bradley recommends Through the guidance and patience of Mrs. Bradley, we have been able to read and study many valuable books. We owe much to Mrs. Bradley for her co-operation in help- ing us find the books and information we have needed throughout our four years at W.H.S.
