jforeword With this volume of The Green Years, we not only reflect on our own finest hours but also inaugurate a new and beautiful school, a school whose solitary and final product is a segment of a generation which must inescapably face a disturbed and distraught world. This school, like all schools, must produce the leaders of a nation on whose shoulders rests the burden of world leadership. Each of us alone goes out in quest of a better, finer life for ourselves. All of us together go out in quest of a better, finer world for all humanity. This common bond cannot be broken by gradua- tion; it knows no distance nor dissolution. Under this nexus we shall exist for the rest of our lives as closely related as we have in the years gone by. It is our wish, therefore, that this yearbook serve as both the resume of our years in Westwood High School and the first page in a long and happy history, not only of a school, or a town, or even a nation, but of a world, dedicated under God to the betterment of all. — David Williams oLJedica tion racultu S. en tori 2 . ocumenti 14 n aerara Ana ted ' Activities r avert id em en td

SbeJi ;, caaon As the theme of the 1957 yearbook is our new high school, we wish at this time to thank a person xvho has worked so hard to obtain this school for us — a person who has proven himself not only a respected counsellor, but also a good friend. In gratitude, we, the Class of 1957, dedicate this yearbook, the first of the new high school, to our principal, Mr. Isaiah Chase.
