STUDENT OF THE YEAR Joe Hasselwander It is not often that we have the opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of our classmates. As we go through our four years of high school we have the opportunity to experience a variety of emotions and activi- ties. Joe Hasselwander has maximized those opport- unities. He has provided us with examples of dedication and commitment. His achieve- ments include the realms of academics, ath- letics, leadership and social. Joe would be the first to admit that he was not the best at everything he tried; but he was the best that he was capable of being. He worked long hours to guarantee his own opportunites for the future. He set goals for himself, limits for his time and would not be distracted. Joe has shown us how to be successful, from his 300 pound bench press to the simple task of making and keeping friends. We all wish to recognize his efforts and applaud his desires. He has built the foundation to direct his own future. To our good friend, we wish you the best in all that you do. Thanks for the memories.
