CHIPMUNK Published by the Annual Staff of Westwood High School Westwood, California CONTENTS THEME 3 DEDICATION 4 SENIORS 5 UNDERCLASSMEN 2 3 FACULTY 37 SPORTS 41 ORGANIZATIONS 6 3 ACTIVITIES 7 5 ADVERTISING 1980-THE BEGINNING OF THE FUTURE With the 701s behind us, we can look forward to a new and even better decade. The 1980's bring with them a good feeling and the idea of a fresh start. With the continuing advancements in science and technology, our country will excell dramatically in every area. The medical and space programs will benefit greatly from the many experiments and discovery's that are being made each day. The 1980's are here, looking at us - Challenging us. In the coming years, Westwood High School will also achieve many of the goals that they have set for themselves. These goals will be realized only with the hard work and dedication of the W.H.S. students. Also, we hope to capitalize on the great spirit for which Westwood has been known and recognized. We, the annual staff of 1980 Dedicate our year to three unforgettable people, who are no longer with us. Steve Barrera, Pat Madden and Kevin Stevens. WHY Why do we wait til a person's gone, before we tell him his worth: • Why do we wait, why not tell him now, he's the finest man on earth: Why do we wait til a person is gone, to send him flowers galore: When a single rose would have meant so much, if we had taken it to his door: Why do we wait til he cannot hear, the good things that we might say: Why put it off, why not tell him now, and share in his joy today: Of course we're busy, that's our excuse: But Why OH Why do we wait, to show our love for him , until it becomes too late: 6 nick, ceaglio STEVE COLLIER DENA D'ANGELO KATHY DANIELS 8 9 10 r ' 11 DALE SHEEHY TERESA VILLALOVOS UNFORGETABLE CLASSMATES Heidi Banks Donna Bauchat Carol Blevins Patty Broughton Micah Cit ti Debbie Hibbs Alan Hinton Jackie Maynard Jana (Morphis) Walkup Alan Parks Alan Rudolph Pam Sarmiento Donna Sawtelle Robert Smith Joaquin Valles SENIOR WILLS I Alan A. will my duck hunting ability to Mr. Jessee.
