WESTWOOD JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Westwood, Lassen County, California The Chipmunk 1961 District Superintendent Leonard H. Randall Superintendent's Menage Happiness is one of the acceptable and reasonable desires of mankind. To those who seek it for itself it is invariably elusive and usually unattainable. Real and lasting happiness comes to those whose goals would seem to be unrelated to happiness. It is an observable fact that those persons who made a maximum effort to develop their own capabilities in order to better serve the society in which they live find satisfying and happy lives. The years of our lives spent in school must be years of effort and sacrifice if our lives are to be useful and happy. Wrestling On February 18,1961 one of our seniors went to Anderson to compete for the championship in wrestling. This Paul Bunyan of a Lumberjack put on an excellent performance for Westwood, winning the Northern District Championship. John Messina, after receiving this title went to Turlock for the Northern State Championship, but lost to the victor, Cowell, by decision. We are real proud of our Paul Bunyan.
