Our Pan-American Club With monthly meetings, the Pan Ameri- can Club is organized to provide an op- portunity for students of Spanish to socialize, have fun, and learn more about our neighbors to the south. There are movies, games, music and refreshments at a typical meeting. The Club also corresponds and exchanges photographs with students of Latin American countries. PAN AMERICAN CLUB OFFICERS THE COMMERCIAL CLUB O. Cervantes, Representative; S. Grover, Sec- retary; K. Randall, Treasurer; C. Mendoza, Vice-president; and President, Lynda Randall. The Commercial Club was organized to give its members a better insight into the business world. Frequent field trips to various business firms and meetings organized in such a way as to better familiarize our members with the commercial world, characterized the Commer- cial Club. C. S. F.’ers for 1958-1959 The California Schoarship Fed- eration is an organization which encourages academic achievement in California High Schools. A stu- dent must continually earn B grades or better during his high school years in order to retain his membership in C.S.F. Such scho- lastic achievement is generally re- warded either at graduation with various scholarships or during the student's college career. Westwood Junior- Senior High Honor Roll - 1958-1959 In order to be eligible for the Honor Roll at Westwood High School a student must have either 40, 36 or 31 honor points depending oh the number of periods he or she is in attendance. Academic, as well as grades in attitude, work habits and cooperation are taken into consideration in the selection of students for the Honor Roll. Those students whose pictures appear at the left were so honored for the year 1958- 1959. 25

The Future Homemakers of Amer- ica is the national organization of girls studying homemaking in high schools of the United States. The overall goal of the organization is to help individuals improve personal, family and community living, now and in the future. The F.H.A. at Westwood Hi oper- ates a nursery for PTA meetings, pre- pares a Christmas box for a Reno Veterans' Hospital, holds a formal installation of officers and dance in November. A Mothers' Day Tea, swimming party and guest speakers from foreign lands rounds out the year's program. Vi F.H.A.
