Gazing with surprise are four of his pupils, from left: Mary Shultz, Scott Reddy, Tim Bordner, and Shan Wilmarth, School Pays Tribute and Men of the Mind In our era the epoch seems to be the repudiation of the mind. It is no longer 'fcool to be a man of the mind. A teachers job is to teach, and it is indeed thankless. The teacher who teaches well is often unrecognized and unap- preciated. The teacher who has the ability to transend the barriers of his position, and become a paragon of educa- tion, lives a daily world ofxfrustrationand anguish, as his efforts go unrewarded. We herewith offer our esteem to one such mang Mr. Vannie Summers. If one is willing to take but a small step toward him, he will provide the stimulus for the dedication to reaching one's full efficacy. His reward is intelligence, and the signs of intelligence shown by young developing minds. To attempt to show our gratitude, we hereby dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Vannie Summers - a man of and for the mind. Just as a challenging teacher is necessary to the classroom, an enterprising businessman is vital to the functioning of the school. Born in Paris, France, Mr. Andree Messali has lived and traveled throughout the world. He is now managing the Warrior Trading Post. There he provides students with quality products at low prices, handles all the finances for virtually every school function, helps with the class ring selection, and the list goes on Working behind the scenes at all hours Mr. Messali revives Warrior spirit and enthusiasm whereever he goes. Dedication and enthusiasm such as Mr. Messali has exemplified for the past seven years are rare. We would like to show him our appreciation by co-dedicating this yearbook to Mr. Andrei Messali.
