Dedication Cioes to Mr. Millard Conover A real ladies' man, Mr. Conover's irresistable charm has women, like Miss Linda Reeser, eating out of his hand. Although the Chieftain is actually dedicated to the students of Westwood, it is tradition that the yearbook staff select a teacher each year to honor in that year's Chieftain. Millard Conover has been selected as this year's honoree. Dearly beloved and enjoyed by his students, Mr. Conover keeps one step ahead of his more intel- lectual pupils without losing the slower ones. He had been knownf to stay after school and even go toa bud- ding mathematicion's house in an attempt to help. He can even be found, at times, spending his lunch hour discussing the upper levels of math not covered in the course of study. But those closest to Mr. Conover may not even have a math class. ln case you didn't notice him if you peek- ed in the workroom first thing in the morning, yes, Mr. Conover is the faculty sponsor of our own Student Council. Lurking behind all of those breath-taking moves to improve Westwood is the smiling face of Millard Conover. Dimpled Denna Robson and sweet Sallie Gottschalk take a backseat ride behind Paula Nielson in Mr. Conover's sports car. l Alright Pam, l'll buy one of your sophie chain links if you'll promise many fund raising projects that went on throughout AFS Week not to tell the Seniors!
