Rain nd Cold Mars Homecoming Events The rain-spoiled day of November I5 left a cold and muddy scene for the 1968 Home- coming. But, with the festivities revolving around the theme Try to Rememberf, the day began with the assembly full of remembrances from years past. At the game, our cheerleaders were found cheering in their levis and sweatshirts. But the spirit that prevailed brought us a victory over Chandler. With the half-time ceremonies being carried over to the dance, Norma Fuhr and Chet Arnett were crowned the Westwood Home- coming Queen and King for 1968. Seniors display their float depicting the 64-65 school year when West- wood was State Champs in football, cross country, and track. Showing their nervous smiles, the candidates for I968 Homecoming King Chet Arnett, Jeri Flake, Dennis Shields, Jill Waddell, Stu Hogue, Karla and Queen are jiomg lejli: Norma Fuhr, Steve Huffaker, Barbara Arnett, Nielson, Brad Parker, Patty Watts, and Chip Stauffer. ovember Brings Crucible,,' Jr.Part The school play, The Crucible, was presented on the evenings of November 20 and 21. This dramatic presentation, filled with controversy and emotion, concerned the notorious Salem witchcraft trials of the late l600's. The play was very well done and the hard work of many peo- ple was involved. Beginning at 8:00 on the evening of November 22 the Junior party opened in full swing. Music for the dance and party was provided by the Looking Glassw. The party was held in the girls, gym and the decorations consisted of mir- rors on the walls reflecting the fun and good times had by all. Refreshments were served by the Junior class council. Joy Szafraniec offers a sip of her pepsi to Joe Sowards while Shirley Old enburg looks on. May I have a bite? asks Neil Jarvey. Sponsor, Mr. Guest looks on as Kevin Willis shows him his catch: Paula Junior, Doug Orr looks on as a friend, Julie Duthie has some refresh Bell and Patty Boyle. All this took place at the Jr. Party. ments. Donuts and soft drinks were provided for the Juniors. Jr. Party-Crucible-29
