Mes a-Westwood Week Creates Much Spirit Concludes With Victor ver Rabbits A luncheon at Sir George's held between the l student councils of both schools opened the activities for Mesa-Westwood Week. The stu- dents exchanged peace pipes and rabbit feet to insure good sportsmanship for the game. The entire student body of Westwood expressed great spirit and enthusiasm. Each class had a special day to decorate the school portraying the hopeful win to come. The highlight of the week was the spirit-filled Pep Rally held Friday in the auditorium. Skits were presented showing the defeat ofthe Rabbits. The bonfire held the night before the Mesa-Westwood game created much spirit and enthusiasm in the warriors forthe big game. The Mesa-Westwood luncheon is highlighted by the exchange, as Steve Huffaker applies warpaint on Mesa High President, Nyle Creason. The sophomore class shows the great amount of enthusiasm and school spirit they have with their interpretation of a roasted rabbit. we M

Senior Craig Penrod and his date enjoy a conversation at the senior party. ln the background, graduate John Tackett enjoys himself. Sophies rock out to the Salt River Project a local band which provided music for the party. The theme was time, gi- --q W ,if Seniors Rock utg Sophies Have Fun Bearing in mind it was their final year at West- wood, the graduates of 1969 held a successful Senior Party on the evening of November 1 at the Sands Hotel in Tempe. The students dressed in semi-formal attire and danced to the music of Essence. Everyone had a great time and it was a party not soon to be forgotten by any of the attending seniors. Halloween night was the date of the Sopho- more Party. The theme chosen for this party was Time and the decorations included clocks and posters of old time famous movie greats',. All sophies enjoyed the dance which was held in the girls' gym with music provided by Salt River Project. The sophomore party was a big success as the new warriors enjoyed themselves at the dance. This was the second function provided forjust the sophies.
