Senior Electives Aid rads This year the English Department introduced several new courses to seniors desiring to improve skills in communication and literary backgrounds. The senior courses are electives as only three years of English are mandatory for graduation. Courses available to the seniors were world literature, English literature, senior composition, and senior grammar. Practical Eng- lish classes concentrated on improvement of individual problems in reading and composition. In addition to literature, composition, and grammar, the English Department also offered courses in speech, drama, forensic, journal- ism, and publications. New faculty members this year were Mr. Douglas Barnard, Mr. Tom Bennett, Mr. james Finnegan, Miss Joyce Freseman, Mrs Jacqueline Gettier, Mrs. Sue Hunt, Miss Evelyn Row, and Mr. Robert Thomas.
