Mr. L nn Sharp Elected to Board BOARD OF TRUSTEES: Mr. Wallace LeSueur, Mr. E. C. Hussey, Mr. Dilworth Brinton, Dr. jesse Conant, Dr. john Kerr, and Mr. Lynn Sharp. Members of the school board are elected for five- year terms, and set the policies for the Mesa School Dis- trict. Mr. Lynn Sharp won the board election in 1964, replacing Dr. Jesse Conant, who did not seek re-election. At its first meeting of 1965, Mr. Dilworth Brinton was elected president and Dr. john Kerr clerk. Policies of Board of Trustees are executed by Superin- tendent Rulon T. Shepherd and his staff. Mr. Shepherd has served in this position since 1955, and has guided the rapid growth of our school system. He is aided by Asso- ciate Superintendent Gavin C. The cafeteria staff of Westwood deserves our congratu- lations for a job well done. They provided hearty, well- balanced meals daily, which kept our hungry warriors strong and healthy. Several students assisted the cafeteria staff during first and second lunches. Working hard to keep grounds mowed and trimmed were Mr. Cecil Ritchie and Mr. Clyde Lewis. These two men were in charge of keeping the many different plants beautiful and the lawns green throughout the year. There were eight members on the custodial staff who worked in two crews to guard the grounds, maintain prop- erty, and keep the campus free from litter. By keeping rooms and grounds spotless, these men have made our plant more attractive and a pleasant place in which to learn. GROUND WORKERS-Cecil Ritchie and Clyde Lewis.
