The 1965 Chieftain to Melvin Sizemore, assistant principal of Westwood since its beginning in 1962. Mr. Sizemore, the man behind the scene , spent countless hours arranging the many details which allowed school life at Westwood to proceed smoothly during its period of maturation. With eleven years experience in the Mesa school sys- tem, his list of duties are many. They include class sched- uling, registration, testing, discipline, instruction, and attendance records. He also finds time to deal with stu- dent-teacher relationships, college entrance, and teacher supervision. Mr. Sizemore's favorite pastime is bowling. He and his wife have two children living at home--Marvin at- tends Mesa High and Marilyn attends Arizona State University.
