The traditional Sadie Hawkins dance was held on Thursday, November 10. The gals soon asked their favorite guys to go. and Sadie Hawkins was on it's way. The Daisy Mae contest was the first event. The contest was entered by. Cheryl Spickard. Debbie Roberts. Kim Salter. Kari Harris. Vicki Chapman and Julie Nicholas. At 9:30. Kari Harris was given the title of the Y983 Daisy Mae. and her date Jay VanDyne who was Lit' Abner. The next event was the bow contest. The winning bows were worn by Debbie Roberts and her date Todd Hawkins. The pompettes sponsored the dance, and they did a very nice job. Sadie Hawkins once again was a success. 16

 Oh. Pokey. I got me no place to go now! TiZ The Early Birds, played by Cindy Poviliatis. Nancy Doggett. Kelly Cline, Doreen Boland. Leslea Clem and Michelle Bayles. await the start of the meeting. Let me out of here!” Here. Maynard. Try ta get up.” Medium Rare was an uproarious farce about a very unusual problem encountered by two new homeowners. Harry and Bunny Polk. The cause was Grandma Nina, a demanding and nerve-racking old woman who was left in the house by her daughter and son-in-law. Lucinda and Harvey Jolley. The Chaos began that night when Nina ordered a medium rare steak cooked just the way she liked them. Soon after. Nina's senile and abrupt friend. Maynard Cruck. arrived unexpectedly without knowing the Jolley's had changed residences. He and Nina exchange gossip and argue almost endlessly. Until Harry, or Pokey, as Nina called him de- manded that Maynard leave. Maynard soon returned though, the next morning at 6:00 AM during an Early Bird meeting of Nina's. Excitement began again when one of the ladies hurt Maynard’s back and Nina takes him to a chiropracter. While they were gone Harry and Bunny had come home and thought that Nina had run away and was lost. Through all the calamity Maynard lost his pants and thought Nina had been kidnapped. In the end. everything worked out fine. Nina decided to go live with Harry's secretary. Cora Prim, and Maynard planned to stay with the Polks until he found a place to stay. Well sir. I put up a fight, and that’s when I lost my Pants. 18
