Prophecy Hi! Welcome to Westville High School. Step right into our labora tory. We have a date to see what the Seniors will be doing 10 years from now. We will use the newly invented W, I-LS. time machine, courtesy of the Junior history class. Your guides will be Pat and Phil. We set the time dial for 1968 and away we go! 1958, '59, '60, '61, '62, '63, '64, '65, '66, '67, 1968, and here we are We expect some really great things from this class, because its members were really out of this world. There's a familiar face already. It looks like our old friend, Jim Watson. What have you been doing, Jim? Well, Phil, I have been making interplanetary Studebaker ships with V-8 rockets. Are they very fast? Well, not yet, but you can get asteroid dust in the second stage Good-bye for now, and better luck on your newer models As we cruise down the airway, Westville Boulevard, in our heliomobile we see another familiar face. Coming out of the Bowling Alley is Jerry Ransom Hi, Jerry. What have you been doing in the past 10 years? He1lo, Pat and Phil. I have been testing automatic pinsetters But Jerry, they had those things 10 years ago Yes, I know, but that kind didn't play soft music to sleep by Moving on down the boulevard, we see the Miss Sandy School of Charm, with Sandra Prentiss as founder and president. We see by her adver rising that girls can leam after school the important subjects of: How to keep the boys guessing, and How to go steady with 5 different boys at the same time. As we enter the Bacon Body Shop across the street, we see the owner, Bob Bacon. How are you doing in life? Oh, I am really getting a big bang out of it, Phil. Are you doing very well in this business, Bob? Yes, but hauling in my car every week for repair work is becoming quite expensive. Down the boulevard we see the NA Beauty Salon, owned by Bonita Weisjohn. Coming out of the salon is a beautiful girl with Bonita's original hair fashion, the Green Martian Mop Cut. As we fly past the new H. and H. Theater, we see that Judy Jupiter Uudy Jonasj has just received her twelfth Academy Award for her leading role in the movie Give Me Those Wide Open Spaces filmed on location in the first U. S. satellite, B, L, T. N. We are now passing the Herod Transistor Radio Corporation owned by Bernie Herod. We have heard that he is becoming rich by selling radios These radios are the size of a bean, and are for students uninterested in classes. We see that the world wide celebrity, Guy Lumbago Uim Coulterj, with his squealin' sax and his band, The Offbeats, are playing the sweetest music this side of Hammond at the Golden Pans Nightclub We stop to buy the latest edition of the Westville Incinerator, edited by Russell Pscion, who just a year ago placed first in the mile run at the Olympics His time was 2 minutes and 47 seconds.

Prophecy In the headlines we read that two top scientific farmers, John Coulter and Jim Dudeck, have discovered a very new aspect in farming. They are growing shelled corn under glass bubbles on Mars. As we glance through the paper, we see the world famous column by Carol Frazee called Frazee Knitts Witt. On the sports page, we see Ed Kaletha's picture. The scientific swatter has just won the finals in a ping-pong match against an eight armed Martian for the Ping-Pong Championship of the Universe. As we fly on, we enter the W.H.S. Parking Lot and are stopped by a tall policeman. Hello, officer. Were we doing anything wrong? Were you doing anything wrong? You know that the speed limit is 100 mph around here! Why, when I was a kid, I wouldn't have thought of speeding. We didn't do such things then fback in the good old daysj. Here is your ticket: see you in court. Whew, some policeman. We are not sure, but that certainly looked like Louis Leitzan, chief of the Helio-mobile patrol. As we start off again, we turn on the television in our heliomobile just in time to catch Buck's Bandstand with Leon Allen, the Speedy Spinner disk jockey, who spins nothing but 200 R. P, M, records. Well, kids, to wrap things up today, we spin the 43999 spot on WJJD's top 4000. It is the first record to sell a trillion copies, and it is coming up fast. Here it is the Glockenspiel Rock by Danny and the Seniors fbetter known as Dan Poston and the Moby. Who should we see doing the commercial but Alice Firanek, adver- tising Brust, the tooth-paste you spray on to give you all day protection. Next we meet Pat Krampikowski walking down the street. Hi, Pat! What have you been doing? I-li, Pat and Phil. I am a plainclotheswoman for the Lady Friday Detective Agency, and I always get my man. We hear that Jerry Hatton is now a math professor at M, LT., and he and his student, Frankie Snoke, are working on the theory Is Space Curved. We read that Mickey Thomas, a noted physicist and up and coming pharmacist, has just invented a serum to prevent the dreaded disease, home- work-itis. As we leave Westville for Florida, we notice a young man coming down from a water tower. We recognize him to be Tony Potrzebowski. We find out that he is really getting up in this world. He tells us that he is hired by the Westville Lumber and Coal Company to paint water towers. That boy must have connections. On our way to Florida, we have just enough traveling time to watch one television program. Should we watch Life With Elizabeth starring Elizabeth Bryant on Channel 13 or should we watch Life Without Elizabeth, starring Bob Walker on Channel 13. 5? In Florida we go to the Weeki Wackee Springs to see the world famous underwater show. As we sit watching this spectacle, we recognize the three stars. The Three Mere Maids are Rita Petrowski, Sharon Shebel, and Jean Janas. On our way back to Westville, we turn on the television in our helio- mobile to a new progra'm. Television has Today, and Tonight fContinued on page 671
