ITH a dinner of buffalo steak under their belts the faculty started off the year solidly and have been going strong ever since. Various members displayed unusual athletic ability and provided much aimisement for everyone in several Alumni games of soccer. hockey and basketball. Teacher Rachel and Teacher Margaret gave the VVesttown audience unforgetable performances as the two eccentric old maid sisters in flzzrviiit' and Old I.au'. Master l,ou and Master Ben portrayed con- vincingly the two desperate criminals in the play. More acting ability was exhibited in the Reactors Plays. notably by George Bliss. Master Russ. Master Al Hay, and other weighty friends. Almost the entire faculty turned out at one time or another to supervise the making and the use of the track. About once a month A. Hay brings us up to date on world affairs with his discerning analy- sis of current events in joint assembly . . . Master Tom. a tireless dynamo. swishes around giving off his boundless energy for the further advancement of the VVork Program and the love of Ciceronian oratory and Vergilian hexa- meters . . . Master Carroll mystities and amuses us with his subtle anecdotes. encourages our inental powers with leading questions- .-Xrc you being intelligent? imquote . . . The driv- ing force behind the Socialist presidential cam- paign was Agnes Thomas . . . Master Fred demonstrated to his Physics class amazing ex- hibitions of how to withstand large electric shocks ..., A s the head of the ceramics hobby.
