The Spanish Club is made up of students who are enrolled in the Spanish classes. th- cers are chosen by vote of the members and include a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and reporter. The club meets on an average of once per month and has activities such as a Christmas party, a traditional Span- ish dinner twith Spanish Musicl and guest speakers who may lecture or exhibit articles on the culture of the country. At the meetings various aspects of the theater, the importance of stage make-up, and the job of the stage crew are discussed. In the fall we took a bus trip to Marion and enjoyed a drama pre- sentation. This spring a three act play will be presented at Selma High. mUHmammE 4W0em The newspaper stalT consists of members of Mrs. Williams ninth grade honors class, but all students at Westside were asked to submit articles. The officers were elected at the first of the year from this class and the eigth grade honors class. As- signed articles are submitted by students, proofread, and typed. Next the articles are laid out and sent to the printer. Copies are sold to students for fifteen cents. Mrs. Williams, sponsor Sitting: K.K.
