Still act- ing on my hunch, I had the boys dig into the ruins of the old Hogan house. In several hours we uncovered a skeleton with a fractured skull. Coroner Belnear paused, refilled and lit his pipe, and stared into space. Well, there isn't much more to tell. Lang, confronted with the body, broke down and con- fessed to the crime. He said he had killed her because she had located his money and spent some of it. Calendar or 1926 27 Sept. 6. The teachers are back in city. There are fifteen new members of the Westport junior high faculty. Sept. 7. School opens. Piloted by the Little Green Book we go through the entire schedule successfully, the first day. Sept. 8. The elevators start. Can you name everyone in your Home Room? Sept. 13. Successful Broadcaster campaign begins. Sept. 16. Junior High Athletic Association meets. Sept. 17. Musical program at the first assembly. Our new principal, Miss Baker and vice-principal Mr. Shores, are introduced. Our orchestra played, Darwin Bowen sang and Miss Glenn directed our singing. Our Sept. iris border was assured us by the city park commission. 2 . Girl Reserves hold their first meeting. Sept. 2 . Forty clubs begin to function. We Wish we could join them all. Sept. Sept. How embarassing for the teachers to sit on the stage. We have stunt program in assembly. Boys Glee Club sang at the Teachers Institute. Girl Reserve Ice-Breaker. Refreshments neverything. Scholarship poster contest starts. First report cards out. We approve of the new S's but dont care for Student Council elects officers. Kenneth Holdren is elected president. First regular football game with Central junior.
