The best friendships are usually formed in the early years of our life when we are most susceptable to warm and affectionate impressions. Each of us has made friends throughout our four years at Westport High School. Whether it be with another senior, an underclassmen, or an understanding teacher, these friendships are ours to keep forever through memories. Hoping to keep the embers of friendship glowing eternally, this yearbook has tried to capture and record all the memorable moments we have shared. Our first officers were Ronald Silva (president), Deborah Wordell (vice-president), Mary Ann Rousseau (secretary), Dana Cambra (treasurer). Student Council Representa- tives were Kathleen Leach and Brad Lopes. Mr. Richard Dean was then elect- ed as our advisor to guide us through four of the most important years of our lives. Our class did an excellent job that year raising money amid all the confusion of our first year at Westport High School. We sold linen calendars and beach tow- els which were very successful. Entering our sophomore year, the members of our class began forming individual ideas. This, compounded with other minor problems, caused our class to become unstable. The officers we elected were Lorna Tripp (president), Deborah Wordell (vice-presi- dent), Mary Ann Rousseau (secretary), Frank Emery (treasurer). They did their best to organize some fund raising activi- ties. Constance Rousseau and Mark St. Amour were elected as Student Council Representatives. The results of our elec- tion in our junior year were Lorna Tripp (president), Mary Beth Machado (vice- president), Pamela Mercier (secretary), Kathleen Leach (treasurer). Mark St. Amour and Richard Sadeck were the Stu- dent Council Representatives. Through Pizza suppers, cake sales and candy sales, we were able to raise the money we needed for our senior year. Our junior prom was held at the Venus de Milo. Our senior officers were Diane Texeira (presi- dent), Mary Beth Machado (vice-presi- dent), Pamela Mercier (secretary), Kath- leen Leach (treasurer). The Student Coun- cil Representatives were Richard Sadeck and Lorna Tripp. Participation greatly in- creased as the class began to see the importance of unification among our- selves. We decided upon the Chateau de Ville as the setting for our senior prom. Our class pulled through all the trials and tribulations in the end because we had retained our loyalty and friendship for one another. td a Ee S ¥ io os , Xe i, ei 2s 4 4 i: Seas ae ty Set, x ; , eee , a - £ n, “ ¥ Feil : . : - ze y es 5, wy ZL 39 4] 44 orate Beets ‘ ‘ Att ae ‘ a Pog dd x of Of - . i, TOMO T TVS | ! ptt ‘ | : ! iy iy Hilt ; sierete _ 4h 2 Etsy (Ole 1S Representing the junior cl ass this year were: Karin Tripp, president; Jeffrey Pietrzyk, vice- president; Lisa Barlow, secretary; Jean Amaral, treasurer. Veteran seniors were Captain Michael St. Martin, Ronald Silva and Neeraj Khanna. Other senior members were Leo Gavin and Jon- Erik Rehn. Coach Souza feels the team had a very successful year and is very proud of his boys. Named to the All-Star Team were Michael St. Martin and Barry Alves.
