Class History In the fall of 1963 we as Freshman elected Kenneth Silvia president, Chris Amman Vice-president, Madeline Barboza secretary, and Robert Butler treasurer. In March of this year, we held our first dance, “March Magic”. Our freshman year ended with our class outing which was held at Lincoln Woods. Soon afterwards in the fall of 1964, we elected as class officers Gerald Bussiere, president, Kenneth Silvia vice-president, Madeline Barboza, secretary, and Janet Meader, treasurer. Mrs. Derosiers and Mr. Rego were chosen to be our class ad- visors. The projects held during this year were a dance, “Echoes from England”, and a candy sale. The year was brought to a close when we held our class outing at Lincoln Woods. In September of 1965, we started our junior year—a very busy and important year. Elected as class officers were Claudette Matton, president, Kenneth Silvia, vice-president, Madeline Barboza, secretary, and Janet Meader, treasurer. In October we were given our class rings, a day never to be forgotten. Later we held a dance, “Snowflake Fantasy” and had a candy sale. In the spring we held our Junior Prom at White’s Restaurant and we also sponsored along with the seniors a Fashion show from Stonehaven Ltd. Later in the spring we elected our yearbook staff and held a Farewell Senior Dance. In the fall of 1966 we as seniors began our last and most exciting year at West- port High. We chose Wendy Lash, president, Joseph Wisneiski, vice-president, Madeline Barboza secretary, and Janet Meader, treasurer. During the fall and winter months we held a Welcome Freshman Dance and a second dance, “Over, Under, Sideways, Down”. We also sold sweatshirts and had a candy sale along with a food sale. Senior pictures were taken by Vantines and the Yearbook Staff was well in their work completing our yearbook. These moments through our high school years will never be forgotten. Madeline Barboza Secretary of Class of ’67
